Gelderlandplein contains about 100 shops and restaurants. It has several modern parking facilities and its own bus connection with Zuidas and boarding places in Buitenveldert. When Gelderlandplein started in 1968, see photo, it was only partly covered. In 1997, the shopping centre was renovated and offices and homes were added. After the major renovation in 2016, the luxury shopping mall appearance was created that it is now. Gelderlandplein also contains a dozen works of art.
