15. Mensinge
Walk straight ahead from the main entrance of the park. Carefully cross Europaboulevard. Continue straight ahead on A.J. Ernststraat. After 100 meter turn right and walk straight on Mensinge. Go in the direction of the tower (photo 15) until you reach the footpath along the water. Turn left here.

On the other side of the water you can see a tower. In Buitenveldert, buildings are not allowed to be higher than 105 meters because of Schiphol’s approach routes. The only exception is this transmission tower of 146 meters high. KPN uses this tower for radio, TV, telephony and data traffic. In the area around the transmission tower, called Vivaldi, you will find expensive rental and owner-occupied apartments as well as hotels and offices including the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
