4. Straight on to the patio

Go further along the footpath (photo 5) through a part of the park that is often very beautiful, especially in spring and summer. After the patio you will pass a second bridge.

Walking across the second bridge you can see on your left one of the many retirement homes in Buitenveldert. The building contains senior apartments in the free sector of the Elisabeth Otter-Knoll Foundation. Compared to the rest of Amsterdam, many elderly people live in Buitenveldert.
